Callibrating a powerbook

I wanna calibrate my powerbook G4 but is their another way than the method via the system preferences? I mean isn't there a picture with absolute colors zo I can compare my LCD screen? Or another way?

Well, you may of course use a Spyder for LCD. But what's wrong with the System Preferences? I have used it on my Viewsonic LCD, and am very satisfied with it.
