| HDR - ( High Dynamic Range ) Images Palms started a thread in the Software Forum for HDRI programs for people to show their results. Hopefully, some of us are working with, or wanting to start working with HDR images, and can post our experiences and examples here. I've "been meaning to" start doing some HDR for at least two years, but haven't since I shoot mostly images of animals (which don't sit around for the next bracketed shot). I'm am going to do some HDR this weekend. If some of you folks have already started working with HDR images, please post about your experiences, post some samples of your work, and talk about whether you have used Photoshop or a specialty HDR program. |

| Re: HDR - ( High Dynamic Range ) Images CJ, I use photomatix V2.2.0.24 and you can get pretty good results using one photo. I use "Automate>Batch" and select the photo I want in HDR then select the Generate and apply tone map boxes.. adjust settings if necessary click "Run"... and BINGO 'Tis done and saved as a JPG. Have downloaded the newer version and I cannot get a tone map using just one picture with V 2.5.0.11 (Glad I didn't delete my older version yet) Last edited by grannysdc; 11-13-2007 at 10:40 PM. | Re: HDR - ( High Dynamic Range ) Images Hey Doug, LOL Does it work like that CJ? Can I just say hey Doug and he magically apears? Anyway, it seems we are getting HDR threads strewn all over the place. I have to search for High Dynamic to even get back to threads because they are all over. So, How about giving HDR it's own... um category? you know, so it comes up on the first page with photo retuching and photo restoration. Just a thought, I bet we would get a lot of interest and submissions if people could find it easier. I've gotta think there are those who have never heard of HDR. |

| Re: HDR - ( High Dynamic Range ) Images I've already renamed the forum, since it's not actually HDR most are interested in, rather it's tonemapping via HDR tools and techniques. True HDR is very scary, and used mostly in 3D apps (though discussion is still welcome here). |
