| Re: McHargue Mill (HDR image) Ha! very funny, you slipped a Thomas Kinkade in here as a photo. Very good. |

Some info on the shots. This is McHargue Mill located in the Levi Jackson State Park which is just outside of London, Ky. Shot with my Canon 20D, ef24-70 f2.8 L, and tripod. Exposures @ 1/13, 1/25, and 1/50 @ f8 and ISO 100. The RAW files were brought into Photomatix and tonemapped. Cloned out a guardrail and road, a slight levels adjustment and then sharpened. |

| Re: McHargue Mill (HDR image) The enhancement of the detail really helps show how the sunlight plays on the leaves, and brings out the texture of the cabin, making a truly wonderful image! Swampy and crazyfly are right - it belongs on a calendar and looks like a Kinkaid piece. I work with raw files a lot, and I was wondering whether you made ANY adjustments in Camera Raw (or whatever converter you use), or brought them into Photomatrix unaltered. |

The 3 RAW files were brought directly into Photomatix Pro without going thru ACR and yes, that's the converter I use. Tonemapped and then saved as a 16bit tiff to bring into Photoshop for the rest. |
