here is my result

used Photoshop
castle
steps:
1)duplicated image change blending to "overlayer"
2)duplicated again and change blending to "multiply" (on top of the overlay layer)
3)created new blank layer
4)use eyedropper to pick the sky color and darkened the color (so it was dark blue)
5)then filled in the blank layer with dark blue and change the blending to "color dodge"
6)then just a little play with levels

did near the same for the other image but use dark green for the "color dodge" layer
