Re: Old & Weathered Mike, that's real nice but I'd like to see a little more color. Seriously though, thats very pretty, nice shot. How many exposures did you use?

Re: Old & Weathered I backeted 9 shots in 1ev steps. I thought about adding more color but it had been sitting outside and gotten so faded It didn't look right when I was playing around with the color. Thanks for the comment. Mike

Re: Old & Weathered Very nice image ! Traditional HDR I am familiar with. However, these type of HDR's I'm still catching up on... so, I have a question (for anyone). Are the colors simply blown out using Hue/Sat, or is there some color being introduced to the image ? (I'm assuming the HDR aspect allows you to see all the detail so that all those details can have their color blown out.) This image, as well as many coming out of Japan, look very surreal... one day we will not be able to tell these from computer generated images/animations ! Again, very nice work !

Re: Old & Weathered Hey Tommy, I'll take a run at this. The answer to your question is basically, yes. However only as a byproduct of the bit depth of High Dynamic Range images. The colors are increased along with the luminance values. 8 bit offers over 16,000,000 possible colors 16 bit offers 281,000,000,000,000 possible colors 32 bit, well that'd be 27 zeros So I think probably you have the ability to push colors quite a bit further before they begin to separate and finally posterize, just because the hues live much closer togather.
