First Attempt - HDR Waterfall at Night

After discovering RetouchPro I saw several images I just loved over the past few days. Was going for a painted look on this. The sky is a total mess as the HDR process out an insane amount of color noise and in different parts of it I tried different ideas. Any suggestions overall on the image? Critique is what I'm looking for. Sorry for the watermarks - since this was a first attempt I haven't decided yet to purchase the software or not.

Re: First Attempt - HDR Waterfall at Night

chas - thanks for the idea with the sky - i'll mess with something like that.

Ich - I processed a single image in photomatix and used the settings from this thread as a starting point (though changed the black point/white point/gamma more then he did) http://www.retouchpro.com/forums/hdr...tml#post196554

Then in photoshop did alot of dodge and burn as well as a little hipass sharpening.
