Re: Over-processed HDR

saturation is a bit high on each. the second one looks like a single file.

Re: Over-processed HDR

To be honest, i did that to be look like that way, i can tone down the effects, i can get many results with those as HDR, but i just want to get many results and not just one style of HDR, i can do it as your style of painting or artistic if i want but then it will be too way far than mine which is also unnatural.

And to tell you something, all those are from one single file, and all my HDR in one site i use a lot is from one single file except one photo which is also not different than any another 1 file photo, i tested and about 98% using one file or multiple files getting same results, the only cons many are talking about is that getting noisier results by a single file and maybe the colors and the effects are not natural.

go to my squidoo site:

http://www.squidoo.com/Adv_HDR_tech

rate it if you can, no one seems to do that to that page.

it's an advanced course and you'll need a tablet.

Thank you very much!

Nothing much, just got 3 or 5 multiple shots, then using photomatix with tonemapping, that simple, if it is noisy then i can use noise reduction/removal software slightly and carefully.

I use Photoshop normal Noise reduction, but i mostly use Noise Ninja, very good one, but i give it a try with different another software like Neat Image, Noiseware, but to me i will recommend Noise Ninja and Neat Image.

Some over processing is ok if used in an artistic way
But a person (artist) need to just how far to go..!

I have had favorable compliments on an over processed print..

Re: Over-processed HDR

I think the images are too contrasted and saturated. It looks quite "artifacted" ^^

Re: Over-processed HDR

Hi, not posted for ages.

Those over processed images remind me of looking at a slide, held up to the light.

Re: Over-processed HDR

I like all three, the third one of the shoreline is really a nice effect. Will try your tonal adjust, shading technique on a few to see.

I have many HDR, better than those, but i remember this website is more for retouching photos for portraits or high end shots for fashion or commercial and so, not landscape, but surprised there is a section for HDR here anyway

Re: Over-processed HDR

The first one is not over done at all. Aside from the noticeable darken sky gradient on the mountains, it's pretty close to a well done HDR. The 2nd and especially the 3rd however are extremely overdone. But it's what the creator wants it to be and likes, it's far from realistic but some ppl like that look.

Re: Over-processed HDR

the saturation was ok, it was the tonemapping of the first image that makes it look artificial and over done
