my first HDR image

this is my very first attempt at making an HDR image, i know it is over done which was my intent, i had wanted dramatic look..this was made from a single image which started out as a medium format transparency on fuji velvia..i am curious to hear of any tricks to improve such a workflow..the next time i have one of my shots on the scanner i will be sure to scan it 3 different ways...
