Reflections at Sunset
Taken along the Ottawa River. Images merged and tonemapped using Oloneo Photoengine. All comments are welcome.

Very impressive, I second the wow! Love the silhouette, deep colors and composition.

Although subjective, there seems to be a sharper, more solid edge on the watery reflection of trees to the viewers right that could be softened. This may be a result of reducing the image size. Regardless . . . . very nice!

Palms and LQQker, thank you. Yes, the image was significantly downsized and the algorithm increases sharpening especially in those fragile areas. I will process differently next time to compensate.

I like it Murray. The one human observer gives a nice sense of scale. Just the strange effect around the trees reflection at this size marr it a little. How many exposures?

Tony, thanks. There was some strange optics going on. In each of the 7 exposures (probably could have gotten away with 3 or 5), the trees in the background look perfectly normal but the water seemed to have an overlay-like blend mode on the reflection. The outer fringes are brighter and the inside of the tree are darker - and thats on the original RAW exposure when viewed in ACR or Bridge with no adjustments or changes to the default settings. I was also careful in the merging and tonemapping not to amplify it.
