HDR of shoreline from a RAW

I'm still a rookie at this. Taken with my Canon G9 in new buffalo michigan.
Before and after using Photomatix and some photoshop enhancing.

Final Image with Photoshop enhancements: http://hdrcreme.com/photo-gallery/2100/

Before at 0 exposer: http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...ylt/boats0.jpg

HDR with no enhancement done:http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m...tonemapped.jpg

Please let me know what you all think, I value your opinion.

Re: HDR of shoreline from a RAW

Nice job! A few things you may wish to attend to in the image before you tone map/HDR...
HDR is a bugger for really bringing out stuff like image noise- so it helps to clean up some of this first. I notice you have a significant amount of colour noise you could kill it off a bit before you do your tone mapping etc. The same goes for lens abberations around the trees and masts. I see some artifacts in the final image that don't seem to be present in the original that I am assuming may have resulted from use of too hard a brush on a background eraser/layer mask etc? Also one more niggling detail you may be aware of anyhow, the whole image need to be straightened a touch. All in all I really do like what you have done.
