Gotta love clouds.

Big storm brewing and helped along by processing a single RAW as a HDR.

Also an old railway track.

All shot in the Newcastle area on the mid-east coast of Australia.
I hope you like them.

Re: Gotta love clouds.

Nice effect on the railway track Steve, done a few experiments along the same lines myself, some successful some not.

Regards,
Barry.
From the Central Coast south of Newcastle.

Re: Gotta love clouds.

I'm not a great fan of what HDR does to clouds. Using the process leaves the clouds ominous and threatening. Not something I'd want to look at all day. If the subject is weather, then I can see the use of the application, but for most everything else the clouds over power the main subject of the shoot. Just my HO.

Re: Gotta love clouds.

Bazza,
Do you have a gellery of your HDR shots ? Woudn't mind seeing them.

Swampy,
Yes I can see what you're saying. I like the "Armageddon end-of-world" look to them, but occasionally I'll tone them down a bit like this one of the harbour bridge.

This is done by painting some of the original image back into the HDR one.

Palms,
Glad you like them and all the best in Newcastle area on the other side of the globe in UK.

For those interested, here's a link the the remaining images in my HDR gallery.
