Upgrade

Okay, I've downloaded the upgrade but now am wondering--do I need to reinstall the original power tools in 3.0 to get the upgrade to work? I can see the "HPPE3" in the drop down menu of the effects menu, but I can't access any tools.

You have the folders nested. Move all the folders out of the HPPE folder into the Effects folder and delete the cache, then restart.

OK?

Still can't install

I've followed every step to the letter. The tools DO show up in the effects bar but they cannot be accessed. When I try access a tool a window pops up that says, "could not complete your request because the file could not be found".

Please help. I'd be happy to call you if that would be easier.

The files are still not in the right place if you are receiving this error. Please list the contents of your folders for me here.

The problem may be the utility that you used to unzip the original file. Did you use a recommended utility?

That was it! I used powerzip and didn't have a problem. Tools work! YEAH! I have curves! (Hey, that sounds bad huh?) LOL

Thanks!

If anybody else has this problem ask if they are using winzip. It didn't work well for me!

The version of WinZip is important. For some reason there was a version or two there that would not fully expand the files (or expanded them incorrectly). the files would be there, you can see them, but the actions wouldn't run. Glad the other utility worked for you. Glad you have curves!
