I recently tried the Kodak Digital SHO product on the same slide and it made a dramatic improvement! Is there any combination in Elements/HHPE that comes close to this result?

dan, welcome to RP. try posting this same post in the 'retouch, restoration' forum here. you'll get more responses there. also, i'm not familiar with 'HPPE' and it might help if you post what scanner you're using as well. craig

Dan, Have you tried just simply doing the Levels correction described in the book? Kraellin, HPPE is The Hidden Power of Photoshop Elements -- which is the name of this portion of the retouchpro forum. The post is in the right place. You don't need a lot of replies, you just need the right one.
