install problems

I just replaced my computer (Windows XP), and after installing PE2, I tried to install my Hidden Power Tools from my CD. It asks me to put in the password. When I do, the computer freezes up. I can't get past that place in the installation process. I did not have that problem on my last computer. I don't know why it is happening now.

Any ideas how I can insall this?

There are several reasons this might be happening. None of them have to do with the installer. Have you checked the troubleshooting information on the website?

Thank you for taking the time to answer. I sent you an email from the address on the "troubleshooting" page. Feel free to answer either place. I know the forum is sometimes helpful for others who are having the same problems.

As I told you, I tried all that the troubleshooting site told me, with no result. However, on my second attempt after moving the file from the CD to the hard drive, I got this message:

Runtime error 202 at 0000EDDC

The install program was again frozen.

Do you have any ideas? We can't imagine doing anything in Photoshop Elements without your Curves tool (among others).

Okay, I should have thought of that. That was it. Thank you.

I have to say that while your book is a great (extensive) learning tool, your tools are worth far more than the cost of the book/CD by themselves. As I say, we would not be able to go back to not having them.
