I am following the instructions on page 88 of the Hidden Power of Photoshop Elements 4 re Applying A Gradient Map. Step 1 gives instructions for using the Custom Black and White Power Tool which is supposed to be found in the Power Separations category and an icon is there but it gives a file cannot be located error message (there is no Custom Black and White .atn file in the Separations folder in Effects). There is, however, a Custom Black and White .atn file located in the Power Adjustments folder which links to another Styles and Effects Custom Black and White icon (under Power Adjustments) that does function.
I am debating whether to take the .atn file in Adjustments and copy it to Separations so either icon will function (hopefully) or to delete the non-functioning icon from the Styles and Effects Power Separations menu if I can figure out how to do that. Or should I simply move the .atn file from Adjustments to Separations?
I am using Elements 4 with WIN XP SP3 (results were the same with SP2). I hope the above is explained clearly enough.
