Photoshop Layers Book and Element 6.0

I have been working through the Adobe Photoshop Layers Book with Elements 6.0 and have come across a snag. In chapter 3, in the section The Art of Color Balance, I have "discovered" that Elements does not have a Color Balance layer similar to the full Photoshop.

Is there a work-around that I can use to proceed?

yes, my color balance tool will take care of it...you need to send an email to me to request it. You see, not enough people bug me, so I figure no one cares about the tools, so they lapse. Bug me and I update...
