Hello all I am a newbie to this site. I have recently purchased elements 9. I have had elements 6 for some time but have only recently begin to try to learn it. I have learned to do some editing with layers but it won't let me save it as a jpeg file. If I save it in the photoshop extension or a tiff file, I can't seem to use it in other areas such as uploading to facebook. Can anyone help me with this??

Re: newbie

Glenda, welcome to RetouchPro!
JPEG only supports 8 bit files and does not support layers. Use File>Save As to save a copy of your psd or tiff file as a jpg.
Regards, Murray
