Missing File Browser

My file browser has disappeared. I click on Window, then down to File Browser and click on it. Nothing happens. It isn't in the tabs at the right or anywhere else that I can see. Any suggestions? I have PSE2.

Thanks
Peg

Perhaps it got sent offscreen accidentally? Try using Window > Reset Palette Locations

I had the same problem , it was just off screen and I accidently found it as I was resizing the Quick tool bar at the bottom of the screen. It was just showing so I dragged it back up the screen.

The missing browser only seems to happen on Windows machines ... why it should move off the screen is one of life's little mysteries.

there are actually several unusual behaviors with screens, most of those having to do with using dual monitors. However, Doug's advice is best. Rebuild your preferences by holding down CTRL+ALT+SHIFT / OPTION+APPLE+SHIFT when restarting elements. Hold those down till you get a prompt to restore/rebuild prefs, and choose YES.
