HP Book Tools; 'Align Vertical' & 'Align Horizontal' are swapped

I have been playing with my new toys (Hidden Power Tools from the book) and I think I have found a small problem. It seems that 'Align Vertical' and 'Align Horizontal' are swapped in the menu ('Tools 2' tab of the HP tools menu in 'How To'). I've read almost all of the messages here and I have not seen anything reported on this problem. I'm running PSE2 on a PC with Win98SE, and had absolutely no problems installing either the book tools or the free tools.

Clicking 'Align Vertical' gives 'Align Horizontal Centers' in the 'Undo History' and things are aligned horizontally.

Clicking 'Align Horizontal' gives 'Align Vertical Centers' in the 'Undo History' and things are aligned vertically.

I haven't ever played with this tool before! But when I do align horizontal it does what I would expect it to do - lines up the centre of the objects so that they fall on a horizontal line. Similarly align vertical lines the objects up so their centres fall on a vertical line....However the undo menu is as you describe it...maybe we are interpreting vertical and horizontal alignment rather differently!

These are working as I intended. I am not a fan of the description offered by Adobe, and have always found them confusing -- I would invariably pick the wrong one after deliberation. Align vertical does exactly that: aligns the layer contents vertically. Align horizontal aligns on a horizontal...what could be less confusing? Certainly NOT align verticals horizontally -- as Adobe would have it described.

I stick by my choice, and the Undo be darned -- if I could change the name of that i would.

PS -- if I listened to everything Adobe had to say, many more people might still be considering Elements as a program without broader capabilities, lacking Curves, channels and other things...They usually do a great job, but there are a few things they gum up along the way.
