I hav a feeling that the problem here is less fundanentally with the tools than with operations. Please give me a call during the week: 716-691-2800 x. 116

Larry,

Stuffit is definitely an issue. The tools on the CD don't need your version of Stuffit as those tools are in a self-contained installer. I can't make automated installers for each individual buying the mend tool.

I expect your call on Monday.

Richard, I believe I will pass, and will save the time I would spend working on this one program. I am enjoying your book and am enjoying the rest of your tools and your beautiful explanations of their mechanism; I wouldn't have missed it and them for the world. I think you are a world-class educator. There will be more than enough exercise for me using those tools and techniques that I have been able to install without obtaining ancillary programs.

Oh...I am disappointed as I don't like to give up. I like to keep my installed successfully rate at 100%, and you'll be the first i know of to really give up. If you will make one last effort and send the Mend folder to me here: rlynch@pledgemaker.com I'll hopefully return it as unzipped files to place in your Effects folder.

Oh Richard, I haven't given up; I have moved on. After downloading a hundred or more programs over the years, some of them written by mere children, and all uncompressed using Stuffit, I have found one that isn't, and as I say, I have moved on. One thing really does puzzle me: though I have trashed every bit of it I can find, have restarted PSE and restarted my computer, I still find Mend on the list that I pull down in Effects. Well, it's not much of a bother there.

It is my suspicion that you have more than one installation: you are trying the fixes on one installation and starting up the other...
