It would be helpful if you can provide more info on how the photos were printed, what they were printed on (the type of paper and finish) Are they old photos? If so, how old? and are they hand-tinted or anything like that?

hi srgarner and welcome to RP.

also, which sides are stuck to each other? is it the front of one stuck to the back of the other?

you can try this, but i make NO guarantees. i have done this with mixed success. i usually end up with a tiny bit of paper coming off on one print or the other but usually not much. find a corner or edge where the prints will part with easily (if possible). take an eyedropper with distilled water at room temperature and squeeze a drop of water between the edges or corners. let it soak a bit and VERY gently peel away whatever you can without paper coming off from one or the other. when you feel resistance, stop and add another drop. wait and peel again. keep repeating this until all is apart.

if the prints are stuck face to face, the water trick may not work. basically, you are soaking the paper side to make it unstick. so, if the prints are face to face, it may not work.

heck, it may not work at all. so, test gingerly.

also, there is another thread on this where you might get more ideas.

Pictures Stuck

I have a similar problem, just that the picture is stuck to the glass. Will moistening the back of the print help separate it with minimal damage. Right now if I try to peel it off it is starting to rip the image.
