Need advice on dating / valuing old glass photo

My elderly mother has a photograph of a young man who she believes may have been her grandfather or great grandfather. There's not much information on it really. Would it be worth my getting this valued anywhere, or could anyone on here take a guess if I take a photo of the photo and post it?
It's a black and white photograph on a milky coloured glass
