| 109 Year Old Newspaper Its a really good find and would like to put into a frame if I open it properly. Thanks in Advance Lesley |

| Re: 109 Year Old Newspaper I've heard of a couple of people who put the newspapers in a closet with a humidifier. I would imagine that a large plastic bag or container with some water in a container would work, but much slower. The only problem mentioned with the closet/humidifier method was that the working time was about 10 minutes. After 10 minutes it was noted that the newspaper started to dry out and become brittle once again. So, one has to work quickly but patiently. They mentioned that they had to use about 1/2 a dozen cycles for the papers that they had. I hope that this helps. Good luck! Cliff. |
