(Looking for) Expertise in Ambrotypes

Dear folks,

I know nothing about photos except that I enjoy taking and looking at them.

I joined this "community" to learn a little more about restoring Ambrotypes. But I know enough to know that I need an expert.

Which of these forums should I research to learn more about Ambrotypes and how should I go about locating an expert restorer? I live near Houston, Tx.

Thanks for any help.
