Font Style/Format in Photoshop

Is there a way to view the font style/format in Photoshop before you select it? For example, when you click on the dropdown list of the available fonts, you see the names of those fonts in a normal format/style. Now if I do if I do the same thing in Microsoft Word, I see the list of fonts, but this program displays them in the style/format of the particular font.

Photoshop makes it hard to choose the font style that I am looking for because I just cannot remember what each and every font looks like. Therefore, I open Word review the fonts there and then go back to Photoshop to pick that particular font. Does anyone know a way to see the list of the available fonts in their style/format in Photoshop?

I hope this makes sense?

Thanks!
Jon

Photoshop CS2 is going to have this ability but as it stands no. What you need to do is select the font layer in the layer pallette and the click on the font selection drop down, now cursor through the slections. You will see the text of that layer change to each font as you cursor down. Word of caution, do not cursor too fast if you have a lot of fonts, it has been known to crash photoshop on some occasions.
