Glare on Face

Can someone suggest a way to remove the glare on the face of this picture. I read a thread on trying to fix white blotches posted awhile back...(getting better at searching first)....Dougs suggestion within the thread seemed to be using Vikki's Mask tutorial which was the first technique I tried..(learning here too)..what a grand place..However it did not work. I may have done something wrong but followed the tutorial to the T. Can someone tell me what I might be doing wrong please. I am using photoshopCS2. Thanks Neb

Hi Neb,

.... alas, the first image you posted (.psd) has the size of a stamp .... in fact it's only 26.7KB in size ...

the second one is bigger, but so blurred that it is very difficult to make out any detail ....

Hi Flora, just getting back to my computer . That is the only example I have, just trying to practice on something. Even though it seems fuzzy can you or someone suggest a function to use to try and get the glare off the cheek area. Thanks Neb

@flora: that's the first time I ever saw a PSD that's 27k lol.

@neb: I really don't see a glare in the picture. Just blurry.

Hey there Neb.. I apologize for saying LOL at your filesize. I didn't mean it in the way you thought I meant it.

It's just that when you scan in a fullsize picture into Photoshop say and save it as a PSD file it's usually very big compaired to a JPG. That's why I laughed. I usually don't see small PSD files.. I just figured Adobe made them big all the time even if they were small pictures hehe. I just went to Office Max because I don't have a scanner and they charged me $7.99 just to scan it in and then they charged me $7.99 to put on CD.

Sorry I wasn't laughing at you. There is nothing wrong with posting PSD files.. they're actually better because they don't lose quality. JPG's lose quality every time you save them. So you did good with the PSD.

Welcome to RP forums. You will find a wealth of knowledge here and people who are friendly, willing and more than able to help you. Have fun!
