Question How to clean up shirt/blur line ?

Whats the best way to go about cleaning up the sweatshirt color where it meets the blur line?

I usually prefer a hard-edged smudge (+-50%) set to colour blending.
Doesn't make much difference though.

I dunno maybe its just me but I feel that It should blend in better, mostly just the color I think is throwing it off

What I usually do in these cases is the following:
  • Duplicate the Background.
  • Select the problem part (in this case the red jumper) and with the selection still active, add a Layer mask .
  • Create a blank Layer between Background and masked background-copy and set the blending of this new Layer to Color.
  • With a soft brush (Opacity 30-60%), sampling colour from sorrounding areas, paint over the colour leak .... No need to be exact as the masked layer on top will keep a nice, clean edge.

I sounds very complex, but it is very easy and quick ... here you can see another example of the same problem ...
