Post .how to.

I only use tablet, and hand drowing... This is the best way to reach hi-end resoult.

I "eye-drop" the darkest colour of the eyelash and than with 1px brush I draw all I need (with pen pressure -on).

Hi everybody

.... sorry about the 'empty' link to the brushes which were removed due to some changes here at RP...

I'm going to post them again here ... and, please, read this for instructions on adding them to your PS CS2 brushes folder and on how to use them ...

I have created separate upper and under lashes so they can be better adapted to every eye form ...

The Brushes

What the brushes look like: (Attachment 1)

My brushes were created with PS CS2 and might not be compatible with previous versions of PS, so, for those not working with PS CS2, I'm also attaching an Eyelashes.psd file which contains all the brushes 'patterns' of the .abr file on a transparent background ...

The Eyelashes.psd File

After downloading it, just open the .psd file with your version of PS (shouldn't be a problem) make a rectangular selection around each brush pattern (Attachment 2) and simply look for the equivalent of CS2's option:
Edit>Define Brush Preset ....

(Attachment 3) a practical example of 'my' eyelashes applied/painted on a real eye...

I've been contacted via email by a lot of people asking for the .psd file ... I've sent the file asking to, please, let me know if it worked ok...... well, I never got any feedback ... not once ... So, I do hope it works ...

P.S. If you like my brushes, why not make a donation for RP? ... just follow the last link under my signature... Thank you!

Flora, this is the first time I've seen your eyelashes; and I'm not afraid or too lazy to comment. They are quite simply, WOW!!! To think that I created an eyelash brush with just one hair so I could add fill at random makes me laugh now that I've seen your masterpiece.

Thank you. Thank you.

Janet

Thanks Flora for the Eyelashes Brushes.

I would like to know how to apply them on a person wearing glasses.

.... Same as for eyes without glasses ... just take into consideration the possible 'glare' which would apply to the lashes as well ... and remember that the glasses' frame would cover the lashes ...

You might have solved your problem already, if not, you could have a look at this Post..
I have made some 'eyelashes' brushes and you can download them from there ... I've created the brushes in PS CS so, if you have a previous version, I could send you the eyelashes on a transparent background.
I've got PS 7, could you send them to me?

Re: How are they making eyelashes?

Thanks for the lashes Flora - it was quite a struggle to get the file to download, using a mac and PS CS, but got there in the end.
