DARCgull, sometimes I regard RetouchPRO more like Retouch College. It's not really about posting finished products, more about asking questions and getting some good answers.
The images,
to me anyway, are more like exercises (or homework

) - where the the main point isn't the result, but the means to get there.
Looking at it this way, 100K is normally sufficient.
For those that participate in the "arty" forums, 100K
can get a bit cramped. Two important features of the images posted there are texture and "brush strokes". Often the JPG compression will just smother everything. An alternative there is to post the full image, and also post a cropped-in close-up.
The best alternative, if you want to post a larger image (either "input" or " output") is to put up a link to some another site that is specialized in image storage. Many people use PBase, I particularly use Flickr.
..Another thing to remember is that many folk have dial-ups. So opening up an image with much more than 100K would force a coffee (or tea) break!
...and we don't get to clog up Doug's drives with too many unnecessary pixels
OK, probably answered more than you asked, but you look kinda funny with that mouse tail hanging out of your mouth.
