Photo of my Mom - Very old

This is a photo of my mom when she was a ... awe... nevermind, you'll figure it out.

I'm usually pretty decent with touching up photo's, but this one takes the cake for me.

I'd love to know where to start as far as maybe getting an outline of her body and filling it in with some color. Would also love to see what some of you come up with. Once I get some tips, I'll start working on this and post my results... Just need to know where to start!

Thanks for your assistance!

hi morrow,

i dont have my tools right now, but from looking at the attachment i'd say try to start with a curves or levels and see if some of that blown out white can't be reduced to find some dark outlines in there somewhere. also try contrast/lighten. but it's pretty bad off from what i can tell.

you may have to do a reconstruction, either speculating how the body looks or borrowing from another image. but, run the curves/levels/contrast first and see if you cant find some more detail in there. easiest if you run these as adjustment layers.

Craig

Their seems to be more information on the blue channel. So you might be able to start to clean it up from there.
