Fixing chapped/dry lips

Can someone please help me figure this out. I tried some smudging and blurring but my results were not good at all. Looked like the lips were painted then. Any ideas how to make these back into soft unchapped lips. This is a picture of my baby girl and when I printed it large the dry lips really stood out

Had a go at this... then accidentally pulled the plug out of my computer just before saving, came back to do it again and I'm getting some really weird mouse lag so the second version isnt as good but its not bad (IMO anyway )

I basically painted out the flaws with an airbrush on a new layer and added noise to match the grain of the image.
The key is to lighten the dark lines and smooth the line where the lips join. Then try to make the lips a little plumper by gently darkening the bottom of the bottom lip and lightening the middle of the bottom lip to give a more rounded appearance.

You might also try the Healing Brush set to Screen or Lighten.

Those are 1000 times better thank you. I think I will try the airbrush technique first because I really need to work at that. I swear everytime I get a great shot of one of my kids they have something wrong, like pizza all over their mouth or dry lips. I'm trying to get this printed and framed for a holiday gift for my mother in law so you all have been very helpful thank you.
