The picture is really too small to see much detail or see what it needs properly. At that size, it looks like a bit of sharpening and contrast would do the trick to improve it.

Repairable Image

Well a larger file would be helpful. For information on how to post image attachments to this forum clickHERE .

I used levels adjustment layer in photoshop as well as screen blending modes on parts of the picture (face). Since it is quite blurry I sharpened the image as well.

Well I adjusted the levels, did a little cloning mainly on the background, did a highpass layer and painted out the extraneous noise, adjusted the saturation, did a gaussian blur and then did another highpass overlay, once again painting out the extraneous noise. Image is still noisy, but has detail

Ashkumar, we are a helping lot, not a freebie lot here. Hard to put back what is not present. Personally think your last comment is insulting and rude and presumptuous. I acknowledge we may be dealing with a language barrier here. If I was charging you, consider it as being $75

Well then look within, and be satisfied, surely then you realise that is not what is there is hardly a given. Dont look like an imp with a limp, looking to survey the kind hearted, I already have a disabled child who knows how to milk the system for sympathy. For my bit, think I need to see some incentive from you, actually, thiink the $ component has struck a chord so far, sorry

Dad

Well I did the usual. I did replace the background. I did not do any eye work. I used a copy of the face selection using screen mode which helped and then used a levels adjustment layer.also neat image.

Looking good Ashkumar.

Still looks a little blurry, so I took your version and converted to lab and ran the unsharp mask on the lightness layer which didn't seem to do too much, so I then converted back to rgb and ran a highpass filter on a duplicate layer in overlay mode.

Hello Ashkumar

I thought your version had too much saturation and not enough contrast. I also modified the mouth a little so it's closer to the original.

That's a good idea, but I think those replacement eyes need to be increased in size (the lips also look too small.)

I thought I would give this a try, After doing all the usual things, I added some noise and smudged and painted in overlay in some areas. It may be a bit dark, I find it hard to lighten without bringing back all the noise.

I think the eyes look too fake. That's my honest opinion.

i think the reason the eyes look 'fake' is that the sharpness of the eyes doesnt match the sharpness of the rest of the image. this is why i used the dodge tool on the whites of the eyes.
