Help needed!

I shot a picture of my 4 kids, all smiling and decided it was the PERFECT Christmas card. But, when I loaded it onto my PC, I realized something was wrong with my camera and they have neon colors on the. I am new to photo editing and am going nuts. Any ideas? I have attached the picture. Thanks!

If you post a larger picture it should not be too difficult to fix.

The picture is 3.10 MB. Being new, I am not sure if it's considered big.

If you have photoshop use the save for web option and decrease the jpg quality until the image is under 100k. That should retain the original image dimensions

I managed to shrik the photo down to under 100 KB so I could attach it to the original thread. I just don't know how to get rid of the neon without making the boys look fake.

Is the "neon" in the original? What camera are you using?
Instead of downsizing the image to post here, crop one to just one head, and post the full size with no compression. If we can figure out the problem, you should be able to apply it to the rest of the image.

The neon is on the original and after a 2nd look, it's on my LCD screen when I zoom in on the photo. It's clearly a camera issue. My camera is the HP 945. Thanks for the idea of cropping one face. Here is what they generally all look like, to varying degrees.

Hi Groovy Mum.
Welcome to Retouch Pro.

This is a very strange fault.
Have you any idea what could have caused it?
Has it happened on any other pictures?
Was this picture saved to the camera or to the memory card?

Ken

I can't imagine what could have caused that kind of problem.
If that type of damage is all over the photo, you've got a lot of work there. You're best bet would be to take another photo.

You may want to try HP's online help or

Chat with an HP online technician

Sounds like it may be a defect in your camera....
