ok heres a better scan of the face... this is the best combination of size without compression i can get at the 100k size limit.. i pumped up the brightness a bit on the scanner..

it does look a bit clearer

this is a tiny bit better, but as i said in my original post, the data just isnt there and the only way of helping this is going to be to draw in the eyes or copy information from another image. you can make out the whites a bit now, and that's good. that helps orient one on where to draw, but the data of they irises and pupils is still missing, so that's going to be some hand drawing or copying from another source to put those back in.

Must agree with Kraellin on this one. There is some eye white data on the green channel, but that really is all. Looking at the image, it seems to have a reflection on it, as if taken through a window. Don't know if that was the case, but the dark band/reflection running down the image, seems to have lost all the detail from the face .

Hi Ozonew4m.

Thanks for posting the rescan of her face. This was slightly better. Not that there was more detail, but because the jpeg artefacts are smaller.

It’s not perfect but it is an improvement. And there are people here who could do this far better than I did.

Hopefully this shows that the image is just about salvageable.
I think you should be able to get something quite acceptable from a high quality scan.
