Edith Wood

Can someone help me restore the photo of my mother for example give it some color and generally make the pic look nice.
This is the only picture I have of her and it would be nice to share it with the rest of my family. If you can give me any idea how to begin and I will work from there. Beginning is the hard part.
Once I have worked on one I will be able to work on the rest, but reading tutorials has not yet given me the confidence.
Thanks for your help

Restore

Hello Edith. Do you have a larger scan of your original photo? The bigger, the better. If not, something can still be done. It's just harder to see the little areas that need repair. I might try something and I'm sure others here will work on it as well. It's really not bad as a source. steveb

Twelve hours ago your "mum" was Edith Wood. Now, apparently, she's Emily Louisa Elsworthy.

Am I the only one here who's wondering?

RoadRunner. Post some of your work on your image so we know what direction you want to go. We have to see your result before we can help you.

Roadrunner, why is this same image posted twice, the other under the name Emily Louisa Elsworthy?

Retouch Restore Guidance

I am sorry for the confusion. I am trying to learn how to work on the picture of my Mother
Edith Wood( Elsworthy)
someone already worked on my Grandmother.
Forgive the confusion.
This is all new to me.
Sorry
