| | | Recreate a foot Hi there!
I've been set a rather difficult challenge concerning a foot that's half covered by some cloth. The client requests that the cloth be lifted to the ankle and the rest of the foot recrated.
This is beyond my current ablilities and was wondering how the ps gods here would tackle this problem. Please share your techniques! http://img275.imageshack.us/my.php?i...uchfoot3fk.jpg
Many thanks,
Chris. |

| | Hi Chris,
Is your client also the subject of the picture?
If yes, the easiest way to do it would be to take a picture of her bare foot and ankle in the same position as in the original picture, and then replace it ... |

| | | Flora,
Sadly not, I have asked if there was another image of the foot so I could make a composite image but alas that's all I have to work with.
Thanks for the speedy reply,
Chris. |

| | | imrtun,
well, you could try cloning a new foot/ankle, but i think flora has the right idea. try the morguefile site. they shld have something suitable.

| | | Hi there
Here is a quick version, the lighting is wrong but with work it can be matched. A search of heels will find you a picture you can use then just cut and paste.

| | Hi Craig!!
... cloning would be perfect if there was anything to clone from ... Butch,
Gosh, now I'm confused. ....are we talking about the left (my left) or the right (my right) foot?? I took it to be the right..(my right) as the one really covered ...
Anyway I think I found something suitable on this page ... The picture I downloaded is the one of the thumbnail attached ...
...and this is the whole Gallery. |

Well ... I can't believe I've worked nearly two hours on a foot ... I only hope it's the right one!!! Chris,
... if you think what I did is ok, think twice before asking how I did it, because I'd have to throw the kitchen sink at you .... |

| | | Very impressive Flora, I'm guessing you used an image of another foot and blended it with the existing half. Or was it some very complex and skilful cloning?
Either way it's a fantastic effort. You've inspired me to give it another shot tomorrow I'll post again here with my results!
Thanks alot,
Chris. |

After that, for blending it all in, I used the Heal Brush (instead of the Cloning Tool) set first to Replace then to Normal... Finally I adapted the bottom part of the pants's leg to fit around the new foot and ankle as naturally as possible... Craig, Quote: |
