Hi anna,

Sorry to say that it's highly unlikely that you'll be able to do anything to substantially improve the focus of your picture. Certainly you will not get a clear sharp picture from it.

Adjusting focus is not a subject that photo editing software deals with well.

There are some specialist programmes that attempt to improve things, but with a picture as badly blurred as yours it is highly unlikely that they'll make much of an improvement.

Just one you're gonna have to write down to experience I'm afraid.

You may be able to produce a piece of artwork from it, but there are others on this forum better qualified to guide you in that direction.

Sharpening

Well what I did was to copy the background layer to a new layer. To this layer I applied a high pass filter at a setting of 5.0. Then I used overlay blending mode to sharpen the photo. Its better but still blurry

Not perfect by any means, but you could download the free trial of focus magic (good for 5 pics in total) and run the focus blur fix and then run it through neat image.

Now in photoshop open the focus fixed version and add the neat image version as a top layer and drop the opacity of the neat image version to around 50%

yup, focus magic is good but is a 'pay for'. you might also try 'Unshake', which is a freebie.
