Crest Help Required

Hi everyone,
I have this image of a crest logo as a start.
The left hand side should be a reverse of the right. eg white should be blue, blue should be white, and it is only partly correct as you can see.
Any ideas on where to start, or the best way to do this?

Afraid I can't tell you that.. There are some plug-ins out on the web that will remove white, but I don't have one that works with CS2.

Is this more or less where you're trying to go? (The blue on the left is a little light to illustrate the result, otherwise detail is lost...)

In a nutshell
* Magic Wand was used to delete areas of white that I didn't want to change
* Select > Color Range used to create selections
* Hue/Sat adjustment layers used for transitioning colors

Hi Paul

Like Danny I used color range to select the offending blue areas and changed them to white. Then I filled a blank layer with the sampled blue...changed the blendmode to Multiply then a hide all mask and painted where needed.

Not very elegant or time saving but it works. Maybe someone else will have a better idea.

there was a plugin that 'removed white' and 'removed black'. i forget the name and since my computer crash and re-build, i'm not sure where to find it now. but, it would erase whites to completely transparent and you could then simply use magic wand set to 'opacity' and select the transparent areas and simply paint right in the selection(s).

another way might be with the 'swap color' tool. pick the color you want to replace with another color and simply 'paint' over the area and it replaces what you have with what you want.

Yeah, good call Craig. I believe that this is the filter you are thinking of...makes black or white values transparent. I love this filter, it has been a real time saver...here 'tis, give it a go Paul and see if it is helpful to you. I'll post the original link when I find it.
