Photoshop Newbie - Need Help

The original photo was taken from quite a distance and face was cropped out. Is there anyway to make the cropped photo clearer?

Re: Photoshop Newbie - Need Help

You could shrink the photo down which will help, I don't know that it will ever be great though.

I ran a levels adjustment layer, noise reduced, and sharpened. I'm not even sure that this is better than before.

Thanks Kerry. It is a little better. I can see his right eye but you are probably right that's as good as it gets.

Re: Photoshop Newbie - Need Help

I ran Neat Image on the photo to decrease the digital noise. Next I ran levels and finally I sharpened the image.

Re: Photoshop Newbie - Need Help

Thanks Phil.

I am not only a newbie to Photoshop but to RetouchPro. I am sure that if I keep visiting this place, I will learn a lot. Right now most of it is "Greek" to me but the people here are just wonderful!
