Exclamation Need help with this superman style image

I need help to touch up this image... i need to remove the artifacts within the image (i think thats what it's called?)
Is it easier to zoom into the image and repaint over the bad parts of the image (using the color drop too for the correct color)

sorry the "Manage Attachments" button wouldnt work. So i have attached image from my flickr account (i hope thats ok).

Thanks in advanced

Re: Need help with this superman style image

See if you can select each individual color (red, blue, etc. ) with the magic wand or Select Color range - and then fill the selection with a solid red, blue...

Re: Need help with this superman style image

Dallen, welcome to RP. There are many ways to do this, including the Magic Wand Tool, Select Color Range, Color Replacement Tool, etc. For this image the Magic Wand and Select Color Range work quickly and efficiently. Just make your selection, sample the color you want with the eyedropper tool, and Edit>Fill.
Regards, Murray

Re: Need help with this superman style image

G'day, dallen. Have you tried simply using an edge preserving blur?

Re: Need help with this superman style image

I'm curious as to what you want to do with this. If you are wanting to reprint it as a logo, I would suggest that you trace it in illustrator. Or at the very least, separate the colors into different layers.

Thumbs up Re: Need help with this superman style image

Thanks for your help everyone. Looks like magic wand it is. And thanks Murray for posting your work to my image.
As for what I'm using it for, I am printing it onto T'shirts.
