Re: Help in spot removal

Start by posting a larger version so we can assess the image better?

Re: Help in spot removal

quick 2 minute fix
used alien skin to double the size of the image
went to the channels menu chose blue channel
select all
copy
back to layers menu
paste blue channel
turned off vilibility of pasted blue channel
eyedropper to select color from original photo
turned on visibility of pasted blue channel
added new layer
filled with color from original
blending mode to color

Re: Help in spot removal

Hi there

Most damage was in the red and green channels... so just used the blue channel to fill the red and green.

Then a little cloning in lighten mode to get the rest of the damage... then a terrible color scheme...lol

Butch:
That is an increadable fix. I am in awe. I never believed that those kind of results could be achieved. I have a lot to learn about retouching.

Thanks so much

unimatrix001;
Thanks for the tip. I had not thought about the channels aspect. I hope that I can get the same results that you did.
Thanks again
