Blurred rope removal

Hi there

i have this picture of my dog but it has a blurred rope running across him
i would like to get rid of it so i can print the picture
im a real beginner to this photo retouching stuff so need a lot of help with it

This is my try, and sorry to say it is not the greatest. The damage is in the blue channel and replacing channels and getting results is still a skill to learn.

Ziggar--What software program do you use for photo retouching? Not everyone here uses the same program. Someone using your program could probably more closely address your concerns.
