Re: Photoshop Help: Red Eye and Shiny-ness

Hi Lesley,

On this one I:

Added a new blank layer and used the clone tool to even out the skin - adjusted the opacity of the layer

Selected the eyes and copied to a new layer and increased the saturation then set the layer's blend mode to color dodge and adj. opacity. Ctrl J this layer and set the blend mode to soft light & adj. opacity - I flattened the layers

For the shine I:

Ctrl + Alt + ~ to select the highlights.... when you get the marching ants, click New Adj. Layer icon at the bottom of the layers palette then clicked Curves.

With the Curves dialog box open click (somewhere in the middle of the diagonal line) and slightly lift to lighten your selection, clicked Ok

Now go Filters > Gaussian Blur > and blur to soften your selection.... Adjusted the opacity ...... then Alt + click the Add Layer Mask icon on Layer's palette and with a white soft brush 'painted' the shiny areas to reveal the softened layer you created.

Flattened everything, adjusted colors a little and sharpened....

This was fun to work on..... very cute couple!
