Newbie question: How to add comments to photos.

Hi!

I haven't used Photoshop Elements 4 for anything but changing light and contrast for my photos. So, effectively, I'm a real green newbie! I could sure use some help that might be quite simple for you sophisticated users.

I'm scanning photos for my family and would like to be able to put notes under the old photographs to state who they are, circumstances, location, date, etc., but don't know how. I've tried checking the Help section of Elements but just can't find the menus they talk about and nothing seems to lead me there. I do my work in the Photoshop Editor.

Is there a simple way I can do this? I'm pretty frustrated!

Mike

Re: Newbie question: How to add comments to photos

The simplest way is to simply expand the canvas size downward a bit (check your help file for "canvas"), then use the type tool to insert the text you'd like. Then save the file under a different name so you still have your unchanged original.

But there are many other ways. I'm sure you'll get more suggestions here.

I'll move your post to the Image Help forum so others will see your request.
