Getting rid of hair on arms?

Can someone tell me what the best way is in photoshop is to take away hair on arms; more specifically on models for editorial shots? I just want a general workflow of what tips or tricks you can use. Thanks.

Assuming the hair is darker than the skin, you can try using Stamp (Clone) or Healing Brush tools in "Lighten" mode.

Re: Getting rid of hair on arms?

When i refer to removal of hair, I mean the forearm hair(hairy arms) on most model shots. Sorryy I don not have an example image but just wondered what most retouchers utilize.

Re: Getting rid of hair on arms?

xxxmen,

Welcome to RetouchPRO!!

Beside what already mentioned here, you could also try with Neat Image (a free noise removing software downloadable here) or the: Dust&Scratches, Median, Gaussian Blur, or Surface Blur Filters.

In my example I used the Filter> Blur> Surface Blur ...

I've left some fine hair on the upper part of the arm to make it look more natural..
