truck color change

Hello everyone (new here). So, I need to make this truck look like it has a flat black paint job. I've never retouched a car before and have no clue on how to do this correctly. I've done the search here and googs but I'm not having any substantial luck. I've started a psd with a path already. Tips or help is muuuuuuch appreciated.

Use Box Blur.

I opened a Hue/Sat layer, selected the blue of the truck and changed Hue and Sat to come to this tone of black. Next I selected the truck and blurred it on its own layer. Some of the shinier areas are painted over.
