I believe the problem is not with the bricks but with the veil which is underexposed. Select the veil and boost the brightness while slightly decreasing the contrast and set the lasso set the feathering at about 30.

With the image as it is the veil is not sufficiently brighter (or the bride's dress) than the wall and the viewer's eye is drawn to light areas which should be the face, veil, dress.

It the wall is a really a concern then select it with a lasso and do a slight Gaussian blur on a separate duplicate layer and adjust the opacity until it is "right".

Side note - if you set the black point and adjust levels first and then up the EV so the dress is truly white (and not off-white as in your image) you will have a much better starting point for any other adjustments to the image.
