Newbie Help improving image

Hi,

After reading the posting rules I will keep it short and clear. I hope somebody can help me with improving an image. In the following image 10 digits are written. I already tried some options myself but didn't succeed in reading all the 10 numbers. I see it starts with 06 and 650 is I think at the end.

I hope you guys have some advice or tools to improve the legibility of the numbers.

Thanks in advance

advan1986, welcome to RetouchPRO! Nice to have you aboard. Poke around, ask questions, have fun! Hope you enjoy your visits here.

It is much better if you do not link to images on other servers, since those links can break and that makes the forum thread essentially useless for future readers. After you post your less than 100K version, you could link to a site that is hosting a larger version.

Re: Help improving image

New guy here, but I used High Pass sharpening, adjusted the levels played with contrast.

My best guess is that it looks like 0615341680

In the image below, the left half is the original with the levels adjusted, the right half is with the High-pass and contrast adjustments.

Re: Help improving image

Sorry for the late reaction, I was playing waterpolo.

Thanks a lot for your welcome and effort. You guys came with much better improvements than me as a retouch-newbie! Untill now I haven't found the correct number. I am for sure that it must start with 06 but the most difficult are the third, fourth and fifth digit. the last 5 should be something like 41650, 44650, 41680,44680 or evantually 11650 or 11680 I think. Hope I can fix it. Any more suggestions? I will attach some extra pictures of the number, maybe one of those has a better quality in your eyes to edit? In the manwhile I will just try some numbers.

Thanks!

Re: Help improving image

I agree that the first two figures are 06 and the ending 41650 but I can't make out the middle three

Re: Help improving image

Even with the new picture you supplied, it still looks like 0615341680 to me.

You don't have a larger picture, eh? Too bad....

Newbie Re: Help improving image

I attach a little bit larger image with this post, but the quality is not better I think?

@ Smak: I marked the digits with a red circle around it at this image.

The reason why i can't better quality/larger image is that it is an frame of an swf movie. I used an SWF player to rip the frame to a picture. But I also made a print screen of that frame-->no big difference.

I already tried about 150 numbers:P!

Is it a possibility you think that first you have 2 digits: 06 than a - and than 8 digits. So that after 650 there is another smal digit?

Many thanks for your effort again!

Re: Help improving image

Looks to me like

03-221165 (if there is another digit after that it is either 7or 2)

Anyway, see attached for yourself and decide :-)
