Re: Can someone figure out what type of texture.

I dont know why but it has the look of topaz's vivacity at low levels as well as some tone mapping and colouring work, but would be interesting to find out

Do you mean Topaz vibrance, I don't see any vivacity in Topaz Adjust Parameters?

I can give you the link. He says it is something in photoshop. I think he is using some sort of plugin or texture in a certain blending mode.

Re: Can someone figure out what type of texture.

Like i said im not sure why that plug in came to mind ! I had a look through the link and it dosent come to mind on any other work
but if you read through some of his comments in his texture folder he does give a few "clues" yes i think hdr and then some texture work he does give a link to some textures he uses ( i use them as well, great link, look at the orange /brown ones ) and says which blend modes he uses quite interesting
One thing i will say is when using textures you do get lost as to which ones you use and in which combination but you do get a feel for it

if you have "a go " do post it will be interesting to see

well i think it is super, maybe i would dodge the water a bit but that is personal taste
also you can take it further with different textures if you wanted to (not that it needs it )

Is it one of your own photographs ?

Thanks for the critique, yes it is my picture. That was taken with a Canon 20D, 70-200 f4 is usm at Grand Havenm Michigan during the Coast Guard Festival. I wish there was clouds in the sky or the sun setting. I think it would have made the picture alot better.
