Re: Need Help on Clarifying a tattoo its an eagle with the sun above its wings, that says "Until we part" under it. Everyone in his unit had it and I want to get it as a tribute to him.

Re: Need Help on Clarifying a tattoo You can get the best image of this from the red channel. Go to the Channels tab, and select the red channel Drag to red channel to the Create new channel icon. The will create a copy of the red channel that you can adjust Press Ctrl/Cmd L and adjust the levels to increase the contrast Pull the black and white triangle toward the center. When you get it about where you want it, press Ctrl/Cmd A to select all, and Ctrl/Cmd C to copy the channel. Go back to the layers tab, create a new layer, and press Ctrl/Cmd V to paste the channel layer into a regular layer. This will give you a black and white image or the image at a much better contrast. From there add the unsharp filter to sharpen the image some to sharpen the details of the image. It isn't perfect, but maybe it will be enough to do what you want. From this point, I think I would take the image into Illustrator, and trace the image to recreate it.

Re: Need Help on Clarifying a tattoo The image is out of focus but the main problem is the exposure. This can be fixed simply by the below adjustments. Brightness/ Contrast: -55/+55 Exposure Adj: Offset: -0.0236, Gamma: +0.51 Hope this helps, -Keven
